Get Fit on a Budget

Surprisingly, I save money when dieting. After 15 years of experience I have found what foods work for my body, which foods don’t, and where to locate the best “bang for your buck”. Let’s look at my favorite food and supplements for getting fit on a budget! Note: You will not find any fast food choices!

Must Have Foods on a Budget- PROTEIN

Chicken Breast, Chicken Thighs, Eggs, Tilapia, 80/20 Hamburger, 1st Phorm Level-1 Protein, Phormula-1 Protein, and Canned Tuna all meet my “Best Of” list of Proteins. Each are very cost effective, easy to make, and pairs with numerous carbs and veggie sources.

Note: Level-1 and Phormula-1 are proteins by 1st Phorm. These are the highest quality proteins you can ingest. They mix easily, taste amazing, and are truly great for weight loss or muscle gain. Level-1 is a meal replacement protein, Phormula-1 is for post workout use. Click links for free shipping! I do not consider protein shakes as a supplement because they are used for dietary reasons. Whole food is better than protein shakes, however in a post workout environment (1 hour or less after you complete a workout) a simple digestible protein is needed and that is Phormula-1. Level-1 is my meal replacement choice because in 30 seconds I can make a healthy and tasty meal.

Must Have Foods on a Budget- CARBOHYDRATES

Must Have Carbs.JPG

All of these carbohydrate sources are complex (should not raise blood sugar, contributing to fat gain) except for Ignition. Ignition by 1st Phorm is a pure dexyhydrous carbohydrate source that is ingested immediately after workout to help replenish glycogen stores and help deliver protein (like Phormula-1) to the muscle.

Beans are one of my favorite carbohydrate sources due to the amount of protein in each serving! A serving of beans also has 9 grams of protein and a ton of fiber!

Most people are afraid of carbohydrates, however it is simple carbs (think chips, cookies, candy) eaten during non-active times that causes blood sugar spikes that contributes to fat gain. Complex carbohydrates are great fuel for your body!

Must Have Foods on a Budget- FATS

My favorite fat sources are all plant based. I like peanut butter, nuts (walnuts, almonds, cashews), and olive oil for cooking. Coconuts are also a great source of fat.

Favorite Supplements on a Budget

Favorite Supplements:

1st Phorm Creatine Monohydrate: Creatine is the most studied and cost effective supplement in the world. Creatine helps with strength, muscle growth, and recovery. At only 17 cents a serving, add it to your protein shake for the win!

1st Phorm Opti-Greens 50: We all know that veggies are good for us, but are we eating enough of them? Opti-Greens 50 gives you 11 servings of veggies plus probiotics, digestive enzymes, and more! Stir it into some water and chug it down!

1st Phorm Micro-Factor: Micro Factor is multivitamins, essential fatty acids, COQ10, Veggies, Probiotics, and Anti-Oxidants in one.
